BCM450 5.0 Invalid DN anytime I try to add an IP phone

I have a customer with a BCM450 and we are trying to addd additional IP phones and we can only get as far as the (enter DN) prompt. Once we get there no matter what DN we put in it say invalid DN. I also tried setting it to auto assign DNs from the internal pool and it fails that way too.

The system has plenty of resources and licences. Registration is enabled.

The only thing I see that is odd is there are 0 inactive IP set DNS. If thats the problem then how can I add them? I am not that familliar with the 450s yet but I thought on the older BCMs you just had to select an inactive DN and it would use it. What am I missing...

Hello,

The BCM450 is a little different on this. Under the resources screen you will see the range of DNs for the IP Sets. I belive you click on configure or renumber and then put the new starting and ending DNs.

So if your range is 2240-2250 now, enter something like 2240-2275. I don't have a live system to look at, but this is what I had to do at a customer site once upon a time.
 
I did look at that section and it has a range of like 300 in it now. It says 2000 - 2300....

I will try adding to it though and see.
