BCM Line privacy on/off 2

Can anyone help me with setting line privacy on BCM400? I found that PRI lines don't have this option to enable or disable line privacy. Does this mean that they are enabled by default? I want to be able to let someone to join the call from another phone. The users want to have the abilty to join a call on what they call main trading line, because sometimes there might by more than 3 users. I ve been trying for a week now, the trouble is that I can not find enough free technical information on Nortel web site (they are not Cisco!!).

can not join in on pri "privacy" do a conference call...also where is cd that came with bcm..it has all the info you would need...vendor should have left when installed

I have the pdf file on the cd, and there is the same documentation on the unified manager. it is just not clear enough if there is a way to set it up. The only thing they say is that one can not configure auto privacy on pri lines. Do you think they are going to enable it in next software update or it is limitation of the pri lines themselves?

This is true. You can not have auto privacy on PRI lines, you couldn't do that even on the Norstars. The only solution is use conference and if 3 isn't enough then you may want to look in to a conference bridge device that will allow more then 3 peole in on a call. There sre several vendors out there that offer them. They usually interface though a DTI module and a channel bank.
