yes current patches. Its not losing time. The time service will not start therefore not allowing the time to be changed. I also tried NTP with no luck.
Typically the only service in a stopped state is for the UPS.
Perhaps a parent service is stopped.
Anything else showing in a stopped state in the list?
I can chage the time zone but not the time and date. The time does jump aroud though. There is no other services that are stopped that shouldnt be. I do not have and CLID lines or a PRI.
This is extreme, but it may be worth a shot.
You can perform a backup, then a Level 2 reset.
Before you restore the backup, see if you can change the time. If you can great, you know its not the cabinet or s/w. If you can't, you've partially isolated the problem.
If it works, and then you restore and it doesn't, you have found your problem.
I performed the level 2 still no go. I replace the H/D with a known working one still no go. Performed a level 2 on the new known hard drive in the bad box. still no go.
I have come to conclusing that the BIOS on the MB is bad.
First time I ever had to change a whole box because I cant change the time.
But on another note this box is plugged strait into the wall no UPS no surge. It is 3 years old and I am sure it has taking some power hits.
