One of our BCM400's seems to have a very short off the hook time limit. Users are compaining that if they pause too long in between dialing digits it times out and drops the line (T1) before they finish the dial string, Anyone know if there is an adjustable timer for this function please.

Bcm 400 ver 4

Thanks

yes. can't remember where it is extactly but check under dial plan.

Dasheen is right. Dial Plan -> Dial Timeout

Yes, I have tried this but still no change.
Sequence goes, dial 9 for outside line and if you pause for more than approx 1.5 secs the system times out.
Changing the value on this timer seems to have no effect.

Pre-Dial is an individual answer, rather than having to make a global change.

Could this be a T1 fault because when the line drops there is no system message on the Bcm handset compared to a properly working system which comes up with number incomplete on the phone display?

The system timeout is default at 4 and if after 1.5 its timing out it sounds like a carrier issue

Ftr*82, press until Pre-Dial, press okay. Then they can take as long as they want to dial. When the number is correct in their display, press intercom or pick up the handset.
