BCM 400 Log inbound calls

I have been asked if there is a way I can log all inbound calls that reception gets. We have 2 phone numbers that go to the reception desk , a local number and a 1800 number and they want to know the call volume that is going through there. Is there any way to log this?

Yes, CDR (Call Detail Recording) is inherent in the BCM. But, you will need some Call Accounting software to make it usable.

and download the 30 day version of Tapit.

You'll need to download their smdr monitor specific to the release of the bcm that you are using.

I'm testing it right now and it works pretty well.

I was reading about CDR and I was under the impression that it only logs outgoing calls? Is this wrong? What sort of call accounting software would I need?

Logs inbound and outbound as well as transfers.

I have my PBX to push the CDR data to a FTP server now is this how it should be done? Then I need to get some call accounting software to read that CDR data? I have the CDR data in norstar format right now will tapit read that?
