hi all,

i have a BCM 400 Rls 4.0 and i cant access the system using the element manager, my client told me that he didnt change the password and i didnt change it too, so is there anyway to access the system by using any other password from nortel or i can rest it from telset ...

thanks for help

Can you get to the Browser page using the IP address or ping it.

but i can get access, cuz the password is not working

Did you try the default password?

You could try rebooting the BCM and then try the password.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

im trying to use this one PlsChgMe! which is the default one

what if the client changed the password and forgot it .... what can i do in this case ...is there any default password from nortel to access the system .

Tell them they better remember it or the system will need to be reprogrammed from the beginning.

i c .... but in my case i think i can config the system again ...but how can i rest it to default

There is no reset button, nor backdoor reset. You need to re-image the hardrive. Itas can get you a password of the day, but that costs big $.

Got this from (madwok) So if you use this make sure you have the KeyCodes first

If you do a level 2 reset by using the paper clip on the recessed push pin , you will default the BCM50. You will lost all the programm & keycode . The only thing that was intacted is the software patches but you can regain the nnadmin with P********

You can refer the level 2 reset procedure from the BCM50 CD or online document . Basically just push when system change status boot up diagnostic light change .

He doesn't have a BCM50, it's a BCM400 at 4.0.

I should have had a V8 this morning. Bad short term memory.
