I cannot login to my BCM 400 suddenly - it worked fine this morning, and now, it's not allowing me in. I can login to BCM Monitor with the SAME user ID and password (ee_admin + the password I KNOW it should be).

I tried to telnet into the box, and I cannot login as ee_admin, but, I recall there being another user ID for that...but can't remember / locate that right now.

I also tried to login to the System "wizards" page, but that is also not allowing me to login as "ee_admin".

I CAN login with Feat**SYSTEM (797836), but that doesn't really give me the access that I need.

I'm running v3.6 or v3.7 - I don't remember - and I have found that these versions don't allow for any back-door or resets...

Right now...the only thing that allows me to login as ee_admin is "BCMMonitor.exe"

ANY IDEAS??? PLEASE!

Thanks!!!

Have u rebooted the system?

Are there any LEDs flashing that shouldn't be?

Can users get into vmail via F981?

YES / NO / YES.

I tried to connect via the front Serial connection, and that did not work - I tried using Telnet, that didn't work...I even took the front cover off, and connected a keyboard / mouse / monitor - but - that doesn't really seem to give me any UI to work with...what good does that do for me?

Anyway - I tried logging in as "supervisor" and "ee_admin" - with current and default passwords, but had no luck...

If you know how to reset the password for a 3.6 system - if you know how to login via the kb/mouse/monitor from the front panel - if you know how to login via the serial connection - if you know how to login via telnet - please let me know. I think that I am just going to document the system configuration and look for a new pair of hard drives with a current version and just start over...just not sure how I'm going to get the key-codes to work again...

Speaking of the pair of drives - is there any benefit to me moving the mirror drive into the primary position? Everything shows that both drives are passing whatever internal tests there are - but - I guess it could be the drive that's causing my issues...but...it doesn't feel like that's the cause...

Thanks again for any help...David

Serial connection uses same pswd. When u connected to serial what did screen show? Is it possible pswd was changed by someone?

If u replace HD can put in a 4.0 drive. Keycodes won't work. must use 3.7 - 4.0 upgrade kit which includes upgrade keycode. once entered in krs, all existing keycodes will change to the 4.0 format. s/w upgrade also upgrades bcm bios and unlocks usb connections on front.

Check your JAVA version...1.6. 1 to 12 did not work..
Downgrade the jave on your PC to version 1.5

OR

Having said that I now use version 1.6.18 and able to log in on a bcm3.6.

Its a know issue with some version of java that have been installed on your PC

The only thing that I can login to is BCMMonitor and the "Setup and Wizards" web page from the BCM home page. I will check the JAVA version. I tried logging in with the "supervisor" account and that also works via BCM Monitor and Wizards, but no via Unified.

When I attempt to login via the serial connection, it asks me for user, DOMAIN and password...I was able to pull the system configuration, and view what DOMAIN it says - but that doesn't work either.

Do you sell the 3.6 to 4.0 upgrade kits and hard drives? Will I have to reprogram the whole system?

Thanks for your reply, I really do appreciate it!

Skip over domain should ask for username & pswd.

Using the upgrade kit will save programming info. Order everything from Nortel/Avaya Vendor. Contact your interconnect or telco, whoever installed your bcm.
