BayRS Log FR entry no longer appears

I have been upgrading my routers to BayRS 14.20r8 from older code to fix the SNMPv1 vulnerability. However, I am disappointed by a change in the router event logs. With previous BayRS versions, if a FR PVC went down, an INACTIVE entry went into the log. With 14.20r8, the only entry is the ACTIVE one when the PVC comes back up. This makes it extremely difficult to pinpoint carrier downtimes or bouncing circuits.

This change has been observed ASN, ARN and AN platforms.

Is this a bug/feature of 14.x software, or is there a newer version that fixes this problem?

Hai,

I am using Images 10 up to 15.3, what I notice is that:

a) If the DLCI is configured manualy, all Image will show the DLCI as Active Static (Branch Site), even thou the cir is down. If the DLCI is auto, upon the cir is down, I won't see any, since ni signal from Telco.

b) If the HQ is configured with subinterface than the DLCI for that particular subinterface will be inactive, when the cir is down. If the Cir is up but the router is down, then some time you will see the DLCI as active or sometime as inactive. On why I am not sure, may be different NTU is cozing that to happend.

You could upgrade to 15.2 or 15, but be check out if the problem happend to all the cir or only selected one.

Thanks
