This might be a little short as posting quickly before I have to run out of the office.

IPO 500 V1 running latest version 9. Just got a new B179 SIP conference phone. COnfigured per this link:

The phone registers correctly (configrmed in system monitor), and when calling the handsets extension these calls can be received without any issue.

However no luck when trying to make outbound calls from the handset. If I call either other internal extension numbers, or external numbers, the B179 actually makes a ringing sound from its speakers, but the phones I am calling out to do not receive any call.

Not sure where to start looking with this issue?

Watch the call in system status and see what it's actually dialling :)

I bet it is not logged in. I have had that happen. It appears the phone is up and working, but it is not really logged in.

When I try to make a call and watch monitor, I'm actually seeing nothing related to the phone.

The only event which repeats every 10-20 secs even without making a call is the single line:

6619502mS SIP Rx: UDP 10.201.22.153:5060 -> 10.201.22.1:5060

(First IP being the phone, and second the PBX).

In SSA the phone displays with the expected extension number, licence allocated expected date and time (last login), and current user name displaying expected logged in user.

But does it send the complete number out?
It is a SIP phone so it should dial enblock otherwise it won't work.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

As far as I can tell it appears to be sending pretty much nothing on dial. Running the monitor I dial a number from the phone, then search for dialed number in monitor, but nothing.

Try using N;

I actually just got it working, but no logical reason for how/why it's working.

Plugged it into our test system (nice and clean and not the really old system I've been cleaning up this last week). Worked fine on there.

Plugged it back into our live system and now it's decided to work as expected with no changes made since last attempt. I had tried reboots of the phone when on the old system so as I said not sure why it's now suddenly playing nice.
