Hi, recently i took over managing a B-STDX cascade switch. Recently one of my chan. ds3 cards started giving me problems. Were T1’s would just drop but the status for the individual t1’s would show up as normal. The only way to fix it was to turn down the ds3 then turn it back up.

While doing this I got a database out of sync error and the card turned yellow, as it currently is. A popup came up and asked me to ignore to sync or cancel. I believe I hit cancel the 1st time but the second time I hit ignore. The DS3 card continues to be out of sync although the t1s on the card are up. For status I have “ Status up + Out of sync (card) and the backplane of the car is showing up yellow in navis.

I really would appreciate any help on this.

TIA p.

i believe from read the cascade doc, i will have to resync the PRAM on that DS3 card.

now if i can only figure out what causes multiple t1s to drop with status:normal and with no errors to the NI/csu. Only a DS3 recycle will bring them up. Ofcourse VZ claims the T3 is fine.
