I am trying to set this up with no luck, i have followed all the tech tips/Job aides and config guides to set up an AVPP and some Wireles IP Phones to work with IP Office, however I keep getting "No AVPP response xmy.avp.pxx.ipx" on the IP phones. It seems like the AP is not letting the phones talk to the AVPP, but it is configured they way Avaya says to config it for use with an avpp.

I have updated all the firmware on the phones, the AVPP, and the AP.

Does any have any experience with this at all, i feel like there is something i am missing?

Ok so i switched out the AP-8 with an older AP-4 and everything works fine. So i was right about the AP-8 blocking the WT's form connecting to the AVPP however i followed the Avaya configuration to a T so what am i missing?

Ok so i have it narrowed down to security, if enable WEP or any other kind of security on the Access Point the phones no longer see the AVPP.

I am setting the phones up with the matching security settings. Only Wep seems to work any other security enabled they fail to associate properly.

Are you manually setting the phone's addresses? If you uses Windows server dhcp you will need to add option 151 with the address of the avpp and option 176. I have the ap-8 working with the phones but need to get wep active. On the ap8 the main settings are
config/interfaces/wireless b/ change to 11mb
config/filtering/advance/ check Enable Proxy ARP
Those settings should allow you to use the ap8. I am still working on getting the correct wep config.

I am setting everything static:
I finally Figured it out the Avaya AP's have their wep keys as 0-3 and the phones are 1-4 so key 1 on the AP is key 2 on the phone.. It seems obvious now, but it sure kicked my ass for almost a whole day.
