Has anyone figured out where to by replacement 32GB SD cards for the V1 UC110 VMPRO Mod?

Avaya doesn't sell them directly....

Thanks

I would throw the UCM in the bin and buy a cheap (mini) PC and install the linux app server iso on it.
1000% more reliable.

It is actually a half slim SATA SSD drive. A quick search seems that they aren't common but you may well find one if you look around.

There are half slim SATA to SD card or M2 SSD adapters but do check how much space is available.

Anyway everyone here to seems to suggest not using the UCM.

BTW if you leave the UCM V1 in the IPO powered down it will give you a virtual VMPRO licence. Not sure if this changed with R10.

Can anyone confirm that leaving a UCM in system still gives VM pro license with R10 and R10.1? I know I have suggested it on R9.1 systems because those things are just so... finicky.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

From what I've seen, when upgrading to R10 you get a permanent PLDS license as there are no longer any virtual licenses. Make sure you get the license migration file from 9.X with the UC module installed. Same goes with a virtual essential edition license from systems that have been around a while and got upgraded - you get a "real" license when going to R10.

So if you put in a UC module on an existing R10 what does it do if there are no virtual licenses? I do not have a UC module to test what it does on an existing system.

Found the answer to my own question:

"Unified Communications Module v1 Preferred Edition License
On pre-IP Office Release 10 systems, the Unified Communications Module v1 granted the host system a virtual
Preferred Edition license. This no longer applies for IP Office Release 10 and higher. Any systems being
upgraded to IP Office Release 10 or higher must use the IP Office license migration process to retain the existing
license."

So why anyone would buy a UC module for an existing R10 system is beyond me...

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

The reason is that they like the "unified communications" word that the sales person likes to spout off.
Whenever we have a quote come through for a UC Module, I make my voice heard about it. They are a royal pain in the ass.

Hi DTGMI,

i've used Transcend TS16GHSD370 (16GB) & TS8GHSD630 (8GB) on an V1 UC110 Module. Both work without problems.
But try to use TS32GHSD370 (32GB) (Form-Factor MO-297). Smaller capacity will be displayed as full in the status after reimaging the UC110.
Other manufacturers should also work.

I would leave it in the system for the Virtual Licence (if req) but otherwise a cheap PC should more than suffice for apps server (& gives the option for a call recorder upgrade :))

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
