I need to direct ONE incoming phone line (of the five incoming analog lines) directly to an extension. I need it to bypass the auto attendant but for the caller to hear the voice mail message. I tried setting the line to go directly to the extension but I keep getting the auto attendant? All the other lines are set to *90, the start point for the auto attendant and the one I want sent directly to the extension is set to user extension 216. Still getting the auto attendant when I call that number directly? Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Mike

You need to change the incoming line group of that line to another number.

Create a new incoming call route for the new line group number you just made. Make the extension you want as the destination for that incoming call route.

Ok, changed the line group for that incoming phone number to 1, didn't work (all other lines are line group 0) tried line group 99 and still when you call the number, you get the auto attendant? I'm soooo confused :)

Thanks,
Mike

change the incoming call route for that line
there you can change the destination
if you want that line also to be used for outgoing to (for that extension) than you need to change the line ID (like you did)
if you do not want that then change it back to the old one

Thanks. I changed the incoming call route for that line to 1 and the Line Group to 1, so now when calling that number it does NOT go to the auto attendant but it also does NOT ring the extension that I set it to? I guess I am making some headway here :) The ultimate result I am looking for is:

1. That the analog line goes directly to an extension
2. Thta the person calling that extension still egt a voice mail.

I REALLY appreciate the help!!
Mike
