I have a partner soe, and using a TOA BG130 mixer amp (supplied by cust). Paging will go out to speakers, but does not mute music. the w/b is connected to the mic/tel connector on the back of amp. Does the page jack support contact closure? if so what needs to be wired. Are the pins on page jack, 3&4 for voice, and 2&5 closure?

Where does the white orange connected at the amp.

Well, if you do a search for TOA, you will find their web site, and therein you will find the manual for the BG130 here:

The manual says that the Music Mute is AUTOMATIC, and that there is a sensitivity control on the rear of the unit.

OR, it you want to use a Music Mute control pair (the white/orange from the Partner's page port), you must make a jumper modification inside of the amp, and then connect to the terminals on the rear of the unit.

I looked at that before hand, but the muting of the music is not happening. I guess it is connected properly? The trouble may be with the amp.

Well, the manual says:

Announcements made using the Mic/Tel input take precedence, decreasing the sound volume of all current
broadcasts from equipment connected to the Program or AUX input. The interrupted broadcasts are
automatically restored gradually after Mic/Tel input announcement completion. Use the sensitivity control to
determine the threshold value for muting. Turning the control clockwise increases the sensitivity, while the
counter-clockwise rotation decreases the sensitivity.

It doesn't say it actually MUTES the BGM when paging, it only says that it decreases their volume. So perhaps it is working as designed?

It does go on to describe external MUTING function, using that paging contact, so that may be the only way to achieve music muting.

If you manually short from G to the MUTE terminals, does the BGM stop?
