Hi all...

I have an instance of Avaya One-X Attendant (R4.08), in which we're trying to restore from a backup to a new machine. The old machine is unstable periodically drops. We installed the exact same load of one-x attd on the new machine, put backups in correct directory, and then ran the restore process. Its just the client of 1XAttd, using phonebook and master directory.

The process didn't error out at all and seems to have run correctly. WebLM and database connections appear to test out ok in the config tool. When we go to open up and launch the one-x attendant application, we're continually getting a red error indication with DB at the bottom of the application. It states that there is an invalid user/pw. We've gone into the config tool and entered the correct pw (which we use the default) during the install process.

Is there anyway to recover the pw on the old database? Or anyway to edit a particular file to get that piece working? Thank you in advance.

Is it maybe running as local administrator and looking for the admin pw of the old windows machine?

Thanks kyle555 for your reply. That I'm not 100% sure, It more than likely could be. I see there's another restore option from another server, I wonder if that runs some script changes for old local machine name to new host? I had just seen that option after doing the standard restore process and I didn't want to muddy the water any more.

Maybe that, or file permissions? do everything as local admin vs domain admin? Otherwise, what backup data do you really care about? If I recall correctly, you can "list station" in gedi, right click, export as csv, and that's something you can import to the attendant.
