Has anyone successfully been able to get an Avaya J129 SIP phone working on a hosted IPO solution?

IPO release 10.0.0.3.0 build 5.

Phone software version 1.0.0.0.43. This is the correct phone software version for release 10.3.

Phone never goes past "Acquiring Services". Phone is pointed at the correct IP Address & Port.

I can ping the IP Address of the hosted solution.

Thanks

If your not going to it right don't bother doing it at all!

Better ask Avaya, they can tell you if the phone is even supported on a hosted system (my guess : it is not)

I've never set one up but yes it is "Over the Top"(cloud) supported. You can use 96x1, H175, E129, J129, and B179 on cloud.

We are being told the J129 is supported on a hosted IPO by our Avaya Reps, our distributor and by the hosted company.

However, no one seems to know how to make it work.

Thanks

Your disti should be able to give you some tech support on it. I've done a 9608 and a Polycom VVX 400, both connected without issue though. Have you tried it from another location? Could be your local firewall blocking it. You can also run SysMon to see if its even hitting the IPO.

Our reps are not any help they do not know how to make them work. There were having an issue making them work on a local test system in their office until I told them how to change some settings.

This is IP Office release 10.0.0.3.0 build 5. The phones already have the latest software. There is no need to update them. That was only in release 10.0.0.2. You have to read the PDF file carefully.

Thanks

Do you have another phone you can try to connect with? Start there.. Prove that it can work at all.

Isn't it just a SIP phone, so what happens when you try something like x-lite on a computer.
