Hi guys

Installing a new IPO this weekend with 9.1 and VM Pro, customer would like to do the following.

Mon - Thurs 9am to 5:30pm go to AA menu with 3 options
Fri 9am - 5pm go to AA menu with 3 options

Outside these hours goes to Night msg. This is fine, however he also would like to set the system so that if they have training or xmas they have a different messages that states they're away for 30 mins, away for 1 hour and Xmas holidays (these are 3 separate greetings) instead of the Day AA playing.

Is there a way that this can be done? Hope this makes sense.

Personally I want my Christmas to last a bit more than 30 minutes. :)

Yes, that can all be done, IP Office and Voicemail Pro are more than capable of that, in fact it can be done in several ways, so more details will help select which might be the best. Which calls? Who applies the override (receptionist internally or from off site on snow days), what are the 3 AA options, ... ?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Look into Variables. I would create a module in VM Pro that states "Press 1 to activate Training Menu, Press 2 to deactivate Training Menu, Press 3 to activate Xmas, Press 4 to deactivate... ".

Then have the main auto attendants check that variable before moving on. If the variable is active, it plays a different menu.

Hope that helps

EDIT: As mentioned above, there are numerous ways to achieve this

Been there, done that

Hey sizbut and thephonemn thanks for the quick responses. Just to answer your questions sizbut, they would manually apply the training and xmas greetings internally. The customer already has the numerous greetings recorded to WAV files. The 3 options will be Press 1 for Samples, 2 for Accounts and 3 for Customer service. So they want to override the Day AA with one of their training messages or when it comes to xmas turn on their xmas greeting. Its a very basic set up really i just haven't played with VM Pro a great deal to understand how to implement what the customer wants.
