Avaya IPO 4625SW IP VPN Firmware 5

Anyone know where to find the VPN firmware for the 4625SW IP? The filename is a25VPN25252.bin

4625 is a IP Phone meant for the Avaya Communication manager.

For IP Office you need the 5625..

So, what are you using? IP Office (then use another phone)

Or ACM (then ask the question somewhere else)

Thanks for the reply but the 4625 works fine with IP Office, I'm using one on a call right now which is connected to an IP500. The default 46XXVPNSETTING.TXT even has an entry for it, I just can't find the actual bin file it refers to.

I konw the 4625 will work with the IP Office.

And the 46xxsettimgs file is used for both the ACM and IP Office.

But for VPN I think you need the right phone, so use the 5625 instead..

The VPN files are available in the manager folfer of the IP Office.

Pretty sure that if I can find the .bin file it will work just fine. That is why I asked if anyone knows where I can find A25VPN25252.bin instead of asking if the 4625 will work with IPO. If I load that firmware to the phone and it doesn't work properly I will let you know. However, I will also post this question in the ACM area to see if anyone there has the file. Thanks again for your time.

I have looked back at some of my old 4.0 and 5.0 bin folders and there are no files with a25VPN in them.

There is only

a10bVPN23252.bin and a20bVPN23252.bin - I assume for the 5410 and 5420 handsets.

Like I said, the 4625 is meant for the ACM, not IPO.

Therefor, you will not find the firmware in the IPO folders.

Please stop repeating incorrect information Okkie. The 4625 is supported on IP Office and has been for a very long time. There was never a 5625.

That said, the 4625 was not supported using VPN remote, just the 4610, 4621 (and the 56 equivalents).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
