Hi, I have a customer with an IP500v2 8.1(67) with VM pro saying the voice mail has stopped working. My remote VPN to site is not picking up the system on their network either. I go to site and see the network lead is broken so replace it but still no joy. I plug my laptop directly to system and can log on OK. Just in case the LAN1 has taken a hit I decide to use WAN port, make the necessary changes & reconnect but still no joy. The switch port shows the MAC of the Avaya when connected but no ip address.Anyone come across this before? I am reluctant to do a system reset incase I lose the whole thing.

If you can plug in your laptop directly and is working! Then the IPO should be ok.
Check your network switch if it has a vlans and is configured right.

Thanks icet500 these are my thoughts as well. The network has been recently upgraded with vlans and mac filtering but the IT technician says nothing wrong at their end. I will try a spare IP500 unit on the network if the people from IT will add its mac address to the filter just to be sure.
Cheers

Did you plug directly from the WAN port to the NIC card on the computer running Voicemail?

When you switched to the WAN port, did you also update the IP route in the system to use the LAN2 interface?
