Guys, I have this project wherein I have to install IP office 500 on the main office with Sonicwall NSA 240 to be interconnected with 9 remote branches with Sonicwall Tz210, only one phone is required for each site and they will be registered to the main branch as part of its extension, here are my questions.
1. Can I use 1608 phones on the remote sites? If not, any suggested models?
2. Which license does the remote site requires? I was thinking they only need IP endpoint license on each.
3. Is it possible to add another analog phone on a remote site by connecting a sip ata adapter and add 3rd party IP endpoint license on the main IP office?

I asume you have a site to site VPN on each location.

1) yes you can
2) You will need an IP endpoint license
3) Yes you can with the 3th party IP endpoint licenses

You also do need a VCM card.
When you have a VCM32 or VCM64 then you get 12 free IP endpoint licenses but you do not get any with the combocard.

Be aware that Sonicwall routers must be configured weel otherwise you will have issues.
Remove all packet inspect settings.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

@peter, thanks for the response, so as you are saying, no need for teleworker license, I just need an IP Endpoint license for those remote sites?
Yes I have VCM cards already, so I just need to request for additional enpoint licenses.

If there is a VPN between those sites then yes.

and of course decent enough bandwith at head office and QOS on the sonic wall units at the head/ remote sites if data & voice are passing through "PAY SPECIFIC ATTENTION TO TLPETERS" advice on sonic wall , if you do a search on this forum you will see why.

good luck and keep us posted

We had issues when going through Comcast's Business & residential Coax Internet services. They were blocking AF42 tagged QoS Packets. We had to alter the IPO and change the SIG DSCP to 26 in order for the packets to go through their network. Man was that a Battle to figure out.

The other issue we still have is when users from Remote Office A try and talk with Remote Office B. The Double VPN seems to introduce some latency issues or something. If the Remote Office talks to the head end, or goes out the Telco pipe, there does not seem to be any issues. Only when one remote tries to talk to the other remote.
