Good morning everyone. We have been running this system for almost 3 years, and it seems to be doing great, however here lately I have run into a couple of issues as I am preparing to upgrade to 9.X.

1.) UCModule Disk Usage is nearly full. of the 21.513 total GB only 1.829 GB is free, and that is with there being 15 MB worth of voice mails on the system (about 27 or 28 total messages). When i try to ssh into as root/Administrator I am unable to get in as I honestly do not remember setting the password 3 years ago, or performing the "Module Initialization" portion of the setup that the .pdf's all talk about. And, being that this is still the 8.0 variant where the web login is "webcontrol," it does not give me the ability to change the root/Administrator password from withing the web control section. I do know that the module runs on CentOS, however are there any other ways to get in to see what might be taking up all this space? Surely it is not the "voice" prompts from the auto call attendant.

Any suggestions?

2.) Voicemail to Email. At one point this did work, however it isn't anymore. Again, this is an 8.0 system, so it might be that there is a break down with TLS/SSL but, when I try to log the "email" actions under voicemail in the monitor, it doesn't even send out an attempt. I do have it configured in both the IP Office Manager and Voicemail Pro Client to use a working email/with sender domain/ and password. Both modules/systems have been restarted. Also, under the user's settings, an email address is set in the voicemail and "copy" has been selected.

Any suggestions here?

Should I go ahead and upgrade both to the 8.1, and maybe some of these issues will be resolved?

Are there any other steps that might can be performed to check out the system?

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

joe2938, Thanks for the information, now my issue is going to be getting into the root side. I literally do not remember setting a root or Administrator password when I originally installed the module. Does anyone have a clue if there are some default passwords that might have been used?

Jason, keep in mind that you will also have to install the service pack that fixes the issue or the module will fill up again. If you don't have the root password then the only option is a re-image. You might want to contact an authorized business partner to do this for you.

DaIPOTek, re-imaging can be done, I will just need to make sure to backup the config. That does beg the question of can I download the voice prompt recordings? Can i directly access the console if plugged into the module directly?

Joe2938, the document you sent is for 9.1, is it retroactive for the 8.0 systems as well?

Thanks Joe2938. It's looking like I need to go ahead and upgrade to 8.1.X. That will probably resolve several issues, and I think the license we have will get us to 8.1 no worries. I'll only need the new license when going to 9.X or higher.

Is there any reason to upgrade to the 10.X platform yet?
