Avaya IP office 500 V2 -after changing aproximate 9-10 names Tel.'s & BLF Buttons on Module , i have Intercom1 Lit & 4 BLF's Flashing red.??

HI As maentioned above i rebooted , and did not help . 4 BLF's Flashing red ,,can't be used as DSS buttons u have to hit intercom and dial ext. # for it worked Intercom 1 stays red all the time. Not sure it is a conflict with the programming i did. ? ...... The phones digit 9508 reception has the DSS/BLF Module. ,,,,,Thks . for any tips.
 
This is going to be impossible to diagnose with the information above without potentially seeing your config file from Manager, and knowing exactly what you changed, etc.

'BLFs flashing red' - could indicate that the extn is off hook, solid red could mean that extn has DND activated.

'Intercom 1 stays red all the time' -If that button represents the first call appearance on the phone, its meant to be solid red indicating the default call appearance.

It sounds like you've made some programming changes without understanding what you've changed.
 
Tac84 ,, i have done the name changes before ,, i'm sure when i arrived that the problem wasn't already there ,but not positive ,, i know DND was not on any of the phones ,, They have Land Lines on the system. I just change acout 9 or 10 Names on the phones and confirmed the names on Dss/blf Module ,, they don't always change on the Module so i go into Reception Button programming and confirm ,, if some didn't change . i would change them there.
 
Thanks for clarifying, all good. Its still really hard to understand what the problem is with the information above.

Its going to be hard to diagnose without seeing the config file, or at a minimum a screenshot of the button programming screen for the extn you're having issues with.
 
Try cut and paste of this extension to an unused extension. Then delete everything on the troubled extension and merge. Then cut and paste the button layout back to the original extension and merge and see what happens.
 
I think the problems are from having a lower version of avaya manager on my lap top. ,, I need to upgrade to a higher V11.0.0.1. do you have anything higher then 11.0.0. 4 ?? Thks
