Installing it now. Had no luck using the previously provided Log4J patch. Could not get One-X Portal to start up using the previous patch.

Hoping this fixes things.

Avaya is pleased to announce the availability of Service Pack 1 for IP Office Release 11.1.2 software. This is an unscheduled Service Pack addressing any known log4j vulnerabilities.

**UPDATE**
The upgrade went smooth. All applications came up as expected.

@Travis Harper - Thanks for sharing, Travis!

I'm running R11.1 Feature Pack 2 so I'll update too.

Looks like Service Pack 2 is scheduled to release in March 2022 according to the bulletin.

***Update*** Upgrade also went smooth, no issues.

Thanks, Tim

Looks like this is to fix Log4J only. Not sure there is any point installign this if you have all the patches in places already

Unless someone here knows different?

'Proper' SP coming out in March.

Jamie, yes, primarily log4J.
I will say, that when I applied the previous patch, I could not get One-X Pro to start up fully.
Also, I could not get platform view to open at all.

This release fixed those issues for me.

Fair enough.

We've done an absolute boat load fo the Log4J patches. All worked. some needed system or services restarting and didn't work first time, but all of them worked in the end.

At tleats a single upgrade will be easier and quicker than upgrade plus patches.

Jamie, I assume this update also contains an updated Log4J version. Patching only is not enough in that case.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

As per usual, no real detailed information. The Original Log4J PSN hasn't been updtaed since 05/01/2022. I would assume using the patches or putting this release on effectly does the same thing.

11.2.1 TB says this:

This is an unscheduled Service Pack addressing any known log4j vulnerabilities

I'm certainlly not going to go round all the IP Offices we have already done ( A LOT!!!) and do them again with this release!

Our support guys basically spent a month on Log4J patches between the IPO and SBC!!!

Another UPDATE**
So, I am note sure if the user portal was updated in a prior release or if what I am seeing is from the new release.
Anyway, the user portal is much more useful now, and actually looks like a solid replacement for Avaya One-X Portal.

Nice little surprise.

I would advise against upgrading to R11.1 FP2 SP1.

There are some bugs in R11.1 FP2 that are being addressed at this time.
CP's are still being written to fix bugs on that release.

If you upgrade now to the FP2 SP1 these bugs will still be in there, you will have to create a new SR to get fixes for that release. Which is a waist of time IMO..

CP already available for R11.1FP2:
Application Server: File manager menu not visible
SE and Appl: OPUS bugfix for VMPRO

CP's expected:
Application Server: Webmanager: File Manager: unable to upload WAV / OPUS files to the VoicemailProCustomPromts folder with the webmanager.
-> workaround: upload the wav/opus files via winscp to /opt/ipoffice/voicemailprocustomprompt , then refresh the folder in the webmanager>filemanager -> 'transfer' button

I am able to use file manager still and just uploaded 2 MOH files using it yesterday without any issues at all.
