Hi,

I need to install G430 with S8300 as LSP with CM 5.2 ver.

The questions i have is,

1. We need to add 90 IP phones, Should i add IP phones in main server OR remote LSP server(s8300)?

2. Do we need to have local DHCP/HTTP server @ LSP remote site or Phones can get IP address and settings file from the existing HTTP/DHCP server at main site?

3. DO we need to administer local PRI trunk at LSP site?

Thanks

1) All work must be done on the Main server, the LSP software is reloaded everynight from the main server.

2) If your scopes are set correctly then use a central DHCP server to pass out all of the information.

3) depending on how much bandwidth you have between the Main site and the secondary site you don't need to install a PRI, on the otherhand yuo may want it for local calls depending on where the LSP is in relation to the Main site. At a minimum you should have a analog trunk install for emergency calls so at least the correct address goes out to the emergency services.

Thanks Tolson.

What about http server for phones to download settings files?

The HTTP server does not need to be local as long as the phone cna reach it across the network.

Is it mandatory to fill in UPS IP address during S8300 lsp install?

Also pls guide me for adding about 90 9611 phones in main server..

do we need to administer httpserver as already there are some 200

phones using http server?

Thanks.
