hello guys,

i have an important issue with my avaya aura system v6.3
I hav 2 media gateway and the secondary is down we are not enable to access it when i try to connect with site admin.
Any advice how to troubleshoot will help me a lot !!!
thx in advance.

What model of media gateway?
Can you ping the IP address of it?

The média gateway is a G450.
And its the secondary CM that is down i cant ping it. And i tried to connect via site admin it's not reachable

So this isn't gateway related. Do you have an 8800 server setup then? LSP? ESS?
If you can't ping it then it sounds like it's offline and no application will be able to reach it. Someone will need to go look at it unless you have it connected to a remote KVM or set up with iDRAC or iLO but those options only apply if it's a server, not an 8300.

It's a 8300 not a server so there is nothing we can do to bring it back online?
I can't go through AES and check the TSAPI service? It wont help?

1st find out why you cannot ping the gateway!

The gateway is online but the 8300 isn't, correct? Putty into the media gateway and list the modules, see if the 8300 shows up. See if you can ping the IP of the 8300 from the media gateway.

You may have to plug into the services port of the 8300 and see if it's alive. Reseat the 8300 board if possible or reboot the gateway.

Looking at TSAPI from AES won't help.

How to reset the media or reboot the mediagateway?
Any specific command for that?

Do you know how to log into the gateway? Do you have a business partner that provides support? We could be at this for a while and I don't want you to end up in a bad spot if things go poorly.

for the 8300, push in on the red button until it starts to flash. Wait until it says ok to remove, reseat 8300 and tighten thumb screws well, then unplug gateway and power up. Not the best way but if you do not know how to log into a gateway as well as their commands then this may work
