You may be confused by the fact that the line port is an RJ45 instead of the traditional RJ11. Fear not, for it works just the same. These phones come with two different line cords. One is RJ45 at both ends (for plugging it into an RJ45 jack; presumably with a patch panel at the head end. The other has RJ45 at one end (for the phone) and RJ11 at the other (for the jack). It actually works with a regular RJ11-RJ11 line cord as well. The second port on the back of the phone is for a DSS Module. Sometimes I think that Avaya just likes to be different.
Please remember... If it's not the way that YOU would do it, that does not necessarily mean it's wrong. EVERYONE knows SOMETHING that you do not.
