IPO Vers 2 6.0 platform. I am programming numbers in the Directory through manager under the directory heading in the navigation pane. On my 1408's I can hit the contacts button and access Internal, External, etc. On the 1616 I hit contact and it only shows whats in my Personal Directory or contacts I add from my phone. I can add a "directory" button in button programming or self administer but CAN NOT get the contacts button to work. However, when I add the directoy button to the phone it works the same as the 1408. On my 5600 series phone I can add "directory" in button programming and access a directory but I have to start spelling the name in order for it to come up. Help Please!!!!

I hear this problem too from a customer but then on a 1400 and a 1600.
I am not sure but i think this has to do with the internal directory.

Tom, i have seen it.
I also have seen it working.
I think it has to do with the personal directory but i am not sure and i cannot test this right now.

I think an entry in the personal directory breaks the contacts button completely or for the ipo directory.

just added one personal directory entry through the phone, tested and the contacts button still worked fine. then went and added one through manager, and it still works. weird.

Manager 8.0(14) with BINS6_0_14

The directory in manager in the navigation pane. Just add name and number. The Digital 1400 sets work fine. The Digital 5200's do not. I have not even tried adding the users personal directory. It works on the IP 1600's if I put a directory button on the phone but not with the default contact button. Thanks Guys/Gals for your help.

The 54/56 series have always needed to dial the name before they show that's normal operation of the Directory button, the 1400/1600's thing looks like a bug :)

That's because you are a workshy fop Tom (to quote Vic Reeves) :) Just tested with a 1608 on 6.0.14 by adding personnel contacts via the button and Manager and I can still access the system internal and external directory in full, I still wouldn't rule out a bug though, as they can be hit and miss as to which systems it effects as well as intermittant on the system it effects :)

Andy, can you try it from the phone itself ?
I did not enter those personal stuff but the customer did it.
Perhaps that is the issue ?

because i am indeed a workshy fop. Just got loads on and it isn't needed. Would rather do everything in one hit once the next trial begins.

I tried adding both through the handset and through manager and couldn't replicate it.

I am work shy too but playing with an IPO is not working :)
You do want a system that suddenly default or a reboot because of a call parked ?
Don't you want the 1400 sidecar working ?

:)

A PCS7 can also be one with 64Mb :)
PCS7 was the moment they switched.
I have upgraded 3 of them to 4.0 in the past.

I know that was the joke, that he is running the absolute minimum required for R6 :)
