Hello,

Im trying to setup my 4602 from outside my network.

Ive portforwarded 1719 to my IPoffice IPaddress.

my phone settings are:

IP: 192.168.XX.XX
Callsrv: XX.XX.XX.XX (My External IP Address, where IPO is located)
Callsrvport: 1719
Filesrv: 192.168.XX.XX (wich is in the internal Network where also the 4602 is located)

Somehow everything goes OK, untill i set the Extention to 1201 (wich exist in the IPO)

Then it says Discovering (Callsrv IP)

Any Ideas?

Ok, I saw in the TFTP log from the IPO that he is receiving something but this is the message i get:

Received BOOTP request for XXXXXXXXXXX, 0.0.0.0:68, unable to process

Any ideas?

Do you have a VPN setup? Callsrv would be the private IP of you IPOffice.

i dont have a hardware VPN setup, although i tried a software VPN on my laptop and that worked (laptop could connect to the IPO) then i connected my 4602 to my laptop, and shared my VPN connection in Vista, But it doesnt seem to work :(

Patrick, that won't work! If you use a softvpn then you can only use Avaya's softphone.

You'll need a vpnrouter for a 4602. Or put vpn software in a 4610/4620/5610/5620 with a remote vpn licence to connect it to the IPOffice.

This last all depends on what IPoffice you have and the firmware that it's running.

I'm afraid a hardware based VPN is a must. Have you checked out IPCop?

Two posts one answer, no matter what you need to spend a bit of cash to get this working :)

Also for the SoftPhone you'll need 2 extra licences.

"Phone Manager Pro" and "Wave User"
