Good day all

We have configured Avaya Video Conferencing using Scopia Xt 5000, MCU and Pathfinder, The MCU and The Pathfinder seats on the DMZ all is working fine, Now we want to set up an Option that Allows USer to join the Conference via the Option to Dial in the Conference If there is anyone who has managed to get this working please assist

I've got it working with an XT5000 with the built in 9 way MCU.

The XT5000 is registered with the IP as a SIP extension xxxx. Create a VMPro module with a DDI pointing to it. Setup the usual PIN code/whisper actions that you require to secure it. Then transfer the call using assisted transfer (auto accept) to the xxxx Scopia extension.

Simples.

One of these days everything will work as it should, and then we'll all be out of a job!

Thank you Very much Smash, Please give me step by step on Creating a VMpro module, to setting up Pin and code whisper i have done the first part where i have registerd the XT500 with the SIP and the Extension is working,

In VMPro, create a new module and give it a name (ScopiaConf).

After the start point create a Test Variable and set a PIN in the Specific TAB.

Next add a Record Name action for the participant to record their name.

Next add a Whisper action. Check Play Recording and Auto Accept and enter the extension of the Scopia as where you want to play it to.

Next create a Transfer action and set the destination to the the Scopia extension.

Connect all the dots and record the relevant prompts and recording to your requirements.

Save and Make Live.

Point DDI in Manager to Module.

Test.

There are plenty of ways to achieve this but I've left it simple.

Thank you very much for your Help i managed to get it working,

We did it this way
we created a SIP Trunk to MCU then a created a Short Code which link to to the SIP trunk, Then on the SIP User details we set an Conditional forward to the Auto Attendant number, and Now when you call in from Outside using the DDI Extension you get forwarded to Auto Attendant then request you for a Pin and Vuooola you are in

Brrr, never ever put anything with SIP in a DMZ, use a SBC!
