Hello,

After upgraded our CS1K to released 5.5, I noticed that the Autodial programming feature does not display number after you manual put it in. However, it still display the number you want to program on the VoIP phone.

I asked a couple technicians and they say this feature was no longer exist on 5.5 for the digital phones. Can someone confirm this?

It used to work when we had Succession 3.0. Please let me know if Nortel has a patch to fix this problem.

Thanks

Did you upgrade the firmware for the digital sets?

Yes, I did. Are you talking about the LD 32, FDLF l s c u?
I did that but it still does not display the number.

Tomorow I´m in the office and I´ll look in my lab. I´ve a CS1000 with Rel 5.5.

I checked this in Rel.4.5 ,5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 and every time the key label on the digital sets was "autodial" after I manual put a number in.
Are you sure in Rel 3 it was different?

being a dynamic programable feature by the end user, it really makes no sense for it to be a progamable display in software, if the user can program it, then they can as easily chg the feature key to a name or number on the set as well.

Hello M1spezi,

I am not 100% sure since we moved away from 3.0 released couple years ago. Thanks for looking into this.

What Nortel does is not make any senses because you still be able to see the numbers on the IP phones but not the digital sets.

Hi bigindian65,

What Nortel does is they took away from a feature that works before on a digital sets. It is really not convenience when you have to program the numbers then go back to re-lable the key features. Not alot of normal users like this.

are you talking about when you when a end user programs the autodial and you print out the TNB, you can see what was programmed on that autodial key?

my experience has always been that if you program an auto dial and want it to say something other than autodial, you had to change the feature label from the set itself.
