I'm trying to set the data VLAN ID via a system.prv file or via Nortel-i2004-B string in my DHCP server.
The IP Deskphones Fundamentals book shows dv=60 on page 447, but I can't get that to work. PCs plugged into my 1210 set jump right onto my voice LAN and ask for an IP address. When I put dv=60 in my i2004 string and check it in my DHCP settings it tells me it is an invalid value. I found that you must answer dv=y to get that value accepted. This leaves me looking for the setting to set my data VLAN ID.
Another place in the book seems to suggest dvid=XX, but I couldn't get that to work. When I set that my phone can't find S1, nor can it get my provisioning files nor check the TFTP server for firmware. I assume that means it's changing my voice VLAN to what I wanted to set my data VLAN.
What are you doing to set your data VLAN ID via a provisioning file.
I have the following set (via system.prv file or via Nortel-i2004-B string):
pc=y;
pcs=a;
pcd=a;
dq=y;
dv=y;
Thank you in advance,
V
