Auto Attendant Night mode only

We have a toll free number that points to a DID. We would like the DID to ring directly at the operators console (ext 110) during business hours and be picked up by an AA during night service.

We are using Merlin Messaging. The schedule controller is followig the business schedule.

Does the DID point to x110 or does it point to another extension which then rings on x110?

You could set-up an extension as AA (or use x110 if they don't need a personal mailbox), then set the number of rings out to the maximum for group coverage (so during the day it hopefully would never reach that and go to the AA). Then at night, control it with a DND button.
 
It points to another ext (123) which forwards to 110. Should it to 110?
 
It doesn't have to. You can set-up x123 as an Auto-attendant (attendant 2 as I'm sure attendant 1 is already in use), versus a regular mailbox. When it would normally cover to the mailbox, it will now cover to the attendant. You can set the number of rings out to 9 (it's either 9 or 6 at the maximum-I forget which). Then, at night, if you press the DND button (at the console and at x123) it will cover immediately to the attendant.

You are correct AA2 would be available. Where/how do I set the number of rings for the AA2?

The calls will ring at the ext or console for 6 rings then the AA day message will be triggered?
 
Group coverage for the extension sets the number of rings before the attendant picks up (as the extension will be created as AA2). Through admin programming It's under extensions, then coverage, then group.

It'll ring at both the extension and the console if you program a coverage button on the console.
