WHAT IS EXTENSION 41? That's not a valid, physical extension port on your system, because you don't have that many cards.

line 1 call - all ext ring -
No problem, phones have Line 1 assigned to them with Immediate Ring

no one pick up - auto attendant 1 on -
No problem, Line 1 is assigned to the Automated Attendant in #206-7 and the number of rings considered "no one pick up" has been set in #506-1-01-X

transfer to ext 41 if timeout -
Again, what is Ext. 41? Where do you want the call to be ringing at this point?

then auto attendant re appear if ext 41 timeout
No problem, when "ext 41" covers back to voice mail after its timeout, auto attendant can answer

WHAT IS EXTENSION 41? it is a phantom extension, i just pick a none use extension (i can pick ext 21 for example)

when i plug in messaging module r1, i setup
ext 22 is aa1

if i set messaging module operation return extension to ext 10
it ring all the phone but aa 1 never turn on, i did try the #206 and #506 ( i douple check several time) i think when i plug in the messaging module r1 it overwrite the processor setting, never figure out,

if i set messaging operation return extension to ext 22 it turn on aa1 as soon as call in, then i set the time out to transfer to ext 21, after 21 extension ring no one pick up it transfer back to aa1 (if i not setup the voicemail for ext 21), my question is how can i keep ext 21 ring forever? if i setup voice mail for ext 21 how can i setup press 0 for re ring ??

What do you expect to happen when you transfer to an extension that doesn't physically exist?
The call will immediately cover to voicemail, just like a physical phone that is in Do Not Disturb

Your ACS processor is a 509. Are you using all of the extension ports on it? Lets assume not, and you can "sacrifice"
the last one, Ext. 18, for this experiment.

Your Partner Messaging R1 module has a 2-port card installed in it, and you're placing it in Slot 1 of the 5 slot carrier

Assign the 2 Voicemail Port extension numbers to Hunt Group 7
#505-7-19-1, #505-7-20-1

Assign Line 1 to be answered by the Automated Attendant
#206-7-01-1

Configure Line 1 to ring 4 times before the Automated Attendant answers (when in the Day mode)
#506-1-01-4

Set the Transfer Return Rings to zero, because you want calls transferred to Ext. 18 to ring forever
#105-0

Go into Centralized Telephone Programming and set Ext. 19 through 24 to No Ring on all lines

Access the Partner Messaging by dialing Intercom-777 and log into the System Administrator's mailbox.
Press 9 for programming, 2 for extensions, 18# for Ext. 18, and 2 to assign Transfer Only permissions.
Press *#, *# to back up to the top menu, press 3 for automated attendants, 1 for automated attendant number 1, 1 for the Day menu, and 6 to modify. 1 for Selector Code number 1, 9 to change its function, 1 for Selector Code Transfer, 18# for extensions 18, *## to save the changes without recording a new automated attendant greeting.

Now call line 1. It will ring 4 times. The Automated Attendant will answer. Press 1 and the call will transfer to Ext. 18 (which doesn't have a phone plugged in, but physically exists) and it will ring forever or until you hang up.

hi TouchToneTommy, i follow your instruction and it work now. thanks

i have 1 more question

let say aa1 transfer to ext 18 and ring 4 time, no one pick up then transfer to another aa2 or another ext 17.

i want the ext 18 ring forever but i also want to have option if they wait too long, they can press 1 to leave a message

this i what i try to do but never success

It's one or the other system-wide - ring forever, or cover to a destination after X number of rings.

You could delete the Transfer Only Permission for Ext. 18, then recreate it pointing to Automated Attendant 2 (or 1 if you want the same AA to answer it again)

You would assign Auto VMS Cover to 18 and set the VMS Cover Rings to 4

The call would transfer from AA-1 to Ext. 18, which would ring 4 times, and then AA-2 would answer.

Let's face it - the Partner system do not do call queuing. You can have the AA answer, the caller can press 1 for Tech Support, and ring to a single extension or an all ring group of extensions, and cover to a mailbox or auto attendant if not answered. Same for Sales, press 2 and transfer to an extension or an all ring group of extensions. And if the caller does nothing at all, transfer to Ext. 18 and ring.

How will you know that a call is ringing at Ext. 18? How will you distinguish from the blinking lights on the phones a call that is holding at another extension and a call that is ringing on Ext. 18? Won't you constantly be picking up the wrong call?

Migrate to IP Office, calls can be answered by an auto attendant, caller selects department they want to talk to, you have options on how the select group rings, announcements, music, repeated announcements, options to leave the queue and leave a message.

thanks touchtonetommy alot, i follow your instructions and setup is done now
