auto answer on addon module

Here's another one. I have a 3904 with two addon modules. Lately when a call comes in on a DN on the addon module and the handset is picked up the call automatically connects before the user has a chance to press the key on the addon module associated with DN to answer it.

I would set CLS IRD OLD NID ; then the user will control the phone with their fingers, rather then the phone deciding what to do for them.

DocVic, the LPK is 75 (last key of addon module) should I set it to 0?

GHTROUT, of those three CLS's which one will still allow auto pickup for their main (0 key) number? Thanks.

The LPK (last pickup key) is picking up any ringing line from 0 to 75. If you don't want that to happen, change LPK to 0, 1, or 2, and that will only pickup those first three keys. The others will have to have the buttons pressed to answer.

CLS IRD OLD NID is what you want. That will make it so whenever KEY 0 is ringing and you lift the nandset, you will answer it.

LPK does not apply to KEY 0 - LPK 0 means it is off.

GHTROUT: CLS IRD OLD NID is what you want. How does this effect keys 33 thru 75?

If KEY 33 rings, you lift the handset, press key 33 and say hello.

Remember these phones worked fine before they even invented IRA and Line Preference. They still work without it.
