Aura Voicemail to Email.

What exactly is needed to get my voicemail form avaya aura 6.3 messaging to send to users email? I cannot find clear documentation on the configuration or topology needed for it.

 
Or even a good document on configuring this option, I can't seem to find a descent one.

Log into your aam web interface, under administration go to messaging. You'll see a colum on the left side go to IMAP/SMTP Settings and mail options. Enter your mail server.

Under user Management go to user preferences at the bottom of the page. then to the notify my tab, Voicemail Email notification.

The only draw back is the messages do not get deleted so the mailbox can fill up depending on how many voicemails the end user gets. They will still need to manually delete messages
 
Do I have to add my mail server under External host first to add this? Also I do not have "User Management" I have Subscriber Management but there is no Voice mail Email notification that I can find anywhere.

 
Are your users using Microsoft Outlook ?

I am using Microsoft Office Outlook plugin for Avaya Aura Messaging to work with our email.
Start with a connectivity test.
See if you can ping the voice mail server from the PC DOS window ?
 
We are using outlook 2010. I checked plds site and do not see any outlook plugin, what is it called?



 
I have attached the doc I used to configure.
I would test connectivity before configuring Outlook Client. If the test fails you will have to correct before you start to config Outlook.
From a DOS command prompt ping the host name of your Aura Messaging Server.
Page 17 is outlook 2010

I know the IP, it does ping. But we run a Exchange server. I would like to have the ability to send voicemails to the exchange server and the user that has received a voice-mail. Without them having to add another account to their outlook, as we prohibit the creation of any additional mailboxes in outlook via group policy.

 
Perhaps setting up exchange integration then?

That, or "Notify me" in the user preferences allows you to email a notification of a voicemail, and include a copy of the recording.

You'd still have to setup the SMTP stuff between AAM and Exchange. Difference being that fully Exchange integrated means the messages live in Exchange and the lamp goes off on the phone when they're read, and notify me is just a forwarding mechanism
 
Wait wait wait. "Subscriber management" is CMM, not AAM.
