I have an Avaya IA 770 Intuity Audix

When calling voice mail user get fast busy. (seems like no channels available)

When I look at the Verify System Status - System Verification page:

Verification Info :

System status of VM

AUDIX(R) IN SERVICE

System status of mtce

Begin System Verification Checks -
File System Capacity Check Passed
IPC queue check passed

System status of vs

Voice System is Up
Number of Purchased Voice Ports 4
Number of Voice Ports In Service 0
Available Hours of Speech 129
Used Hours of Speech 6
Maximum Hours of Speech 135
Number of Available Text-to-Speech Sessions 4

When I look at the Voice Channel Monitor page:

I see the column headings, but the area where the channels should be is blank.

This system is affectively down and I need to know what the hell is going on. LOL

Cheers,

Steve

I don't mind coming to work, but that eight hour wait to go home is a bitch.

Can you access the VM, stop messaging and then start messaging..?

Yes. I can start and stop messaging. Still indicates there is no hardware?

Busy and release the port extensions? Did someone pull out the port cable(s)?

Its IA770 voicemail so it's all virtual reboot then

There should be an ISDN trunk group setup.

When you status that trunk group, I assume there out of service..?

Trunk group 1 (ISDN) shows to be in service and idle. This is used for their outside calls.
It's the only trunk group.

Have you rebooted the phone system yet?

I headed out there this am to do a hard reboot.

Any advice on proper procedure or do I just unplug it?

do a reset system 4 if you have the permission to do so with your login

I have dadmin login.

"reset system 4" from NCM or telnet?

Is this something I can do remotely? (saves me a 45 min drive) LOL

yes you can do this remotely, but I would be on site just in case, I use avaya site administrator for all adds, moves and changes, what is this NCM?

This is some old equipment. 4 x Avaya G700 Media Gateways - 2 x s8300 ICC/LSP.

NCM = Native Communications Manager. It's a java driven CLI that allows access to the Fkeys and help screens. I can do the same thing with a telnet session to the box.

Am I still a go with reset system 4?

Look into getting Avaya site Administrator, much better very useful as to what it can do

I'm downloading it now.
Does this run on the admin server? Windows 2002 Server

That's probably a silly question, but I don't want this thing getting any worse. :)
