I have an AT&T, model 952, analog phone.
No matter what button I press, the phone speed dials a phone number.
I pick up the phone, hit any button, and the phone speed dials.
I would like to find a way to 'reset' this phone and get it to dial a number I input again. Thanks.

Erasing Numbers
To remove a number from memory, enter another number in the
same location. To clear a memory location and leave it empty,
1 Press Line lor Line 2 then lift the handset.
2 Press Prog.
3 Press the button of memory location you want to clear.
If that doesn't work you can download the instruction guide by going to AT&T model 952 search. This always works for me.

thanks for the help!
I want to try your 'clear a memory location'.
I hit 'prog' and the phone dials.
So that doesnt fix it for me.

I found the manual online, but nothing there seems to fix it either.

any other suggestions?

You try removing power and the battery.
Just a thought. Never heard of that phone.

yes, i left the phone unplugged and w/o batteries overnight.
then i put new batteries in it the next day and plugged in the phone cord.
this didnt change the status of my problem.

Just a thought? Is the PBX setup as a hot line? Check the programming to see if it is dialing it. One other way to check is to plug another analog set into the same port to see it it dials out to the same number.

Old phone Guy thinking again.

1a2 to ip I seen it all

I moved the bad phone from its place to a known working different analog jack - issue still exists. thanks. what else?

Try another phone in that port like 1a22ip sugested maybe the phone itself is bad. If that is not it then I would make a copy of the settings/programing and remove the station from the system, then reprogram it just like it was. If that didn't do it then I would plug it into a line off of the pbx and see if it still did it.
