Greetings,

I am trying to setup VPN on my cisco ASA 5510 and can not get traffic to pass. I connect and authorize but I can't even ping. The event log says No translation group found for tcp src outside: 192.168.11.101 dst Inside: 192.168.10.x. My internal IP are 192.168.10.x 255.255.254.0 (10. and 11. with most of the 11. reserved for VPN)

I am new to cisco so I have been doing everything through ASDM. Please help

Hi Bud

It looks like you missing your NAT 0. You need to tell you firewall not to NAT your inside range when comunicating with your RAS VPN range.

The following commands should do it.

nat (inside) 0 access-list inside_nat0_outbound
access-list inside_nat0_outbound extended permit ip any 192.168.50.0 255.255.255.0

aisdale,

That worked great. Now I can pass traffic via IP. However, I cannot resolve DNS.

Any Ideas

This line
access-list Inside_access_out extended permit tcp any any
only allows TCP. DNS is UDP. You can add a line allowing UDP or just take the ACL off. All traffic is allowed out by default. No need to restrict it unless you need to block specific traffic.

access-list Inside_access_out extended permit ip any any
allows everything.

Supergrrover,

I tried that, however still not luck, I went as far as specifing the nslookup server to 192.168.10.1 on client side, still not lookup. Also I cannot pass internet traffic out once connected to VPN. I am using WinXP vpn client. Herer is new scrubbed config

Are you using the cisco client on XP or are you using the XP's native client? If XP's native client - ditch it. Use Cisco's - much better.

There are a few odd things about the config -

Ok,

I have tried that and no luck. I am using the windows XP native client. That was the first out of the two I could even get connected.

The windows xp client may not support split tunneling. I am not sure as I have never set it up.
