My Session Manager appears to have rebooted but I cannot figure out how to tell. The SM100 interface went down for 2 seconds then went down again for 5 seconds. Doesnt seem long enough for a boot but all SIP functions stopped working for about 15 minutes so the interface probably comes up early in the boot. I could only tell this by looking at the data switch log. The SM host interface did not go down. Looking at the SM in SysMgr I cannot find any logs to investigate. Just the performance graphs. They show an event in the time frame with utilzation going down but it doesnt help figure out what happened.

Any guidance in tracking down what this event was would be appreciated.

/var/log/Avaya, regular linux logs would also be helpful. Heck, even "uptime" a command prompt will tell you when it last booted.

Kyle,

That interface is the SM host. It has not rebooted and its interface did not go down. The SM100 server that handles the calls only appears to be accessible through the Sys Mgr web interface. It seems like it is a VM on the SM host but they call it a Host and not a Platform like they do the host systems for the CM and SysMgr VMs.

If you're on 6.3, SM is running on the websphere sip stack - but beyond basic interface statistics, you'd have to dig through however Avaya's setup logging for all of that, and most likely would be in /var/log/Avaya somewhere.
