I had to reload software on an opt11. Before I did this I archived the database to my PCMCIA card, I put two on just incase.Software installed with no problem, I went to install my archived database which also said succesfull, reload to activate.I reloaded and my database is not here, I tried to restore from flash, that also seems to be blank. The pbx will not let me login with the original password, it wants 0000.Any ideas besides rebuilding everything from scratch.

put the pcmcia card into your laptop and see if anything is on it, then start typing if there is no data...

hmm, it won't let u log in using the default logi and passsword that mean you restore the customer database successful.

Yeah when I put it in the laptop the file size, on both archives is a big goose egg 0kb.My original PCMCIA card, the one i used to load the software from has a backup on it from when I loaded it thismorning, that file size is 6.97mb, but I tried to restore from flash and still got nada.Maybe I have a bad core card, I have to believe there is a database somewhere in here that can be restored. But in the meantime I am typing, I am waiting for my engineer to go in and take a look also.

You say you put two on, which sounds to me like you're sure you've got a backup. How did you archive your database - BKO from LD 43?

How did you try to restore your database, during (at the end of) the software install or from within LD 43? If I recall correctly, the first should be done from the A slot and the second from the B slot.

Before I started I put PCMCIA Card(lets call it card #1) in slot A and went into ld143 and did a database archive, this I did twice to the same card. Then I loaded my software from PCMCIA card( well call it card #2) in slot A, Card #2 should have had the database backed up to it automatically..which I think it does because in my laptop it says that file size is 6.97mb, anyway after my software went in, I logged in to the PBX with the default pwd 0000, went into ld 143, put in card#1 into slot A, and restored archived database, this restored zip, even though it said it was succesful, after I reloaded it came back with nothing, still logging in with default PWD.I then tried to restore from Flash, which I used Card#2 for, the one with the 6.97 backup file on it, still same.

My engineer was able to restore from the flash drive, not sure what he did but it worked.
