Can anyone tell me why Backup Exec from Veritas causes Powerchute from APC to think the UPS is on battery and tell the server to shutdown. I have stopped the Powerchute service for now but I'd like to get the two running together. I think it may be an IRQ problem but I can't see a conflict in device manager.<br>

Check your version of powerchute and either upgrade or rollback to an earlier version.

I have experienced a similar problem to this, The Bios assigned a different IRQ than the OS, Changing the OS IRQ setting cleared the fault.
