Anyone going to DevCon?

Hi Mike,
I'll be there, and it'll be good to meet you. I've seen your picture in the magazines and mine is on the UT, so we should be able to find each other (eventually). This will be my 13th of the 15 "official" FoxPro DevCons, so I'm a bit familiar how they go. :)

Mike;

If your business also brings you to Los Angeles, I'd love to show you our little town.

I won't be there either. I'm expected to do a presentation in French in Paris at the beginning of November.

Gosh. So many replies.

Rick (Bean),

Yes, it'll be good to meet you too. I've checked your picture, so I'm sure we'll find each other. (Note that I've lost my beard since my FoxPro Advisor picture was taken.

Rick (Schummer) and Marcia,

I'm beginning to wish I had signed up for SouthWest Fox instead. A lot of folk I know seem to be going there (I'd already heard from Andy about that), plus I've got a couple of clients in that part of the world I could usefully visit. Maybe next year ....

AbashedGoat,

Thanks for the offer. I'll check back with you next time I'm in S. California. Acutally, I know LA very well ... I used to live there. But it would still be good to make contact.

Mike Gagnon,

If you have time for a side-trip to Scotland while you in France, let me know. In any case, good luck with the presentation.

I might be there. I haven't decided. If I go, it'll be just to hang out, as I'm not paying the conference fees. Las Vegas is about a 5 1/2 hour drive for me. I have a friend that lives less than a mile from the Mariott and I can stay at his place, so it would be a cheap trip.

I will be at Soutwest Fox too.

Craig,

I know of at least one other regular DevCon attender who likes to hang out at the conference hotel but doesn't bother to register or attend the sessions. She says it is worth the trip just to be able to meet other VFP folk and catch up with her friends.

I'll look out for you in case you do make it.

Mike

That's exactly why I may be there. If I had to pay airfare and hotel, I know I wouldn't go, but it's an inexpensive trip for me.
