I've started seeing more and more of this lately. I haven't seen it in any previous releases that I've worked on, which is only 4.2 and higher.

Service command failed. Cause (Error code -2)

A reboot fixes it, but I'm curious if there is any trigger that causes it or if it is some software bug that resurfaced from the dead. I see tech bulletin 95 for release 3.2 says that it was resolved in the Q2 maintenance release.

This site has IPOSS so I'm tempted to throw this at Avaya and see what happens.

throw it at them. they are responsible for firmware upgrades. see what really happens.

I've seen this on an 8.1 system too......

Was told that it was a weird interaction with VM Pro, and sure enough, when I stopped the VM service, I could log in again.....

We're seeing it with systems that have the UC module as well. R8.1 (52)
Rebooting the UC module temporarily resolves this error.
