I've got a customer that recently went to DLSW version 2 and they've been getting a lot of PUs dropping. They remember having to switch back to 1795 when they were running 14.x.x code due to PUs dropping, but those problems were supposedly fixed. Preliminary info seems to indicate that the Primary peer is going down...(when the customer checks it is up, but the backup peer is being used. Backup doesn't kick in unless the primary is down at least 30 seconds).

I'm about to start checking Release Notes and dial in to look at configs, logs, etc., but you know how that can go. As far as release notes, Nortel doesn't always do a great job of posting info about bugs unless you call up and specifically state that you're having that problem.

Anyone know if any DLSW issues in 15.4.x code??

Found my own answer - 15.4.2.9 has a fix for DLS peers dropping.

Just as an FYI ...

I'm running 15.5 code and DLSw hasn't had any problems. If you haven't already upgraded, you may want to look at the newer code. I usually receive the "you need to upgrade to the current code" statement before a tech will get too far into trouble-shooting an issue.

Clightner - we're looking at something in the 15.6.x.x code series. The problem was fixed in 15.4.2.9, so I'm not surprised 15.5 hasn't seen problems.

They've been running DLSW for a while with no problems, it wasn't until they switched to Version 2.0 that their TCP sessions started dropping.

Thanks for the response...
