I am using Voicemail lite which is absolutely fine for my purposes however I wanted to turn on voicemail to email but everytime i leave a message the voicemail server shuts down and fails to send the email. I am assuming it is an issue with the MAPI side of things but does anyone have any tips on how to get it working?

What are you using to send the email?

What happens when the voicemail tries to send the email? I assume this is an "out of the box" installation of VM lite (i.e. running as a local admin as an application

Some version information would be useful too

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I have installed outlook express (firmware of the system an IP403DS is 3.2) and its an out of the box VMLite install. it just shuts the vmlite application program down as soon as a message is left, doesnt send the email.

Can you send email from outlook express manually?

Have you turned off "warn me if another program tries to send mail" warning?

Is outlook express the default mail client?

yup turned off and outlook express is the default client, just trying to test the mapi with another program now

Is VMLite installed on a Small Business Server, i.e. is Exchange working on the same server?
I had a customer with this setup and the same problem as you have.
VMLite is now in a VMWare Machine. Works perfectly. I installed it as a service.
