any help will be appreciated

Have you tried TACing to the remote PABX and dialing the FAC from there?

Set up remote-Access on your switch.

Dial the Etn number then the Access code you set for it, you'll hear dial tone, and your in.

Then just dial your Feature codes as normal to record the Announcement(s)

You can dial in through the remote access and do this. After you are in dial the announcement number and the codes, then do your recording.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.

Also try to set up a IP Softphone. Make sure that the COR/COS has the rights to record.

Just a thought

We have a "weather hotline" for employees to call when they're not sure if the office will be open or not, and we use the method that mikeydidit suggests. Remember to change the individual announcement to "unprotected" (in the "cha ann" screen) so that it can be recorded over.

R8.3 had softphones. R8.4 had hardphones. You may want to look into having Avaya or a BP give you a "dot" upgrade on your R8.
