I am a Nortel guy, tying to work with an Avaya guy - I guess we will be doing more of that soon. SO here is my questions.
I have 4 lines from the Avaya 8700 (Analog) 4 digit EXT's that also have a DID ringing on them.
If I call from one 4 digit ext to another, the ring cycle is a normal ring cycle.
If I call the same line via the DID, the ring cycle is 2 short rings - pause - 2 short rings.
I am trying to hook these into my Nortel cs1000 system as a trunk and the 4 digit calls work great, but my trunk card is not recognizing the 2 ring cycle calls from the DID calls. They will go through eventually but it takes a while.
is there anything I should have teh Avaya person look at or change that will make the DID calls ring just as teh 4 digit?
