Happy Friday, folks! Up to now, all my IPO experience has been with Essential edition, embedded VM, 95xx phones, and analog trunks. I have a clinic that is moving, and wants to keep their system, but needs to move up to 30+ phone sets. They are also not happy with the embedded VM; well, not really unhappy, just wishing for more. More of what, who knows? Getting info from them is worse than pulling teeth. Anyway, should I be leaning toward the UCM and an expansion module for the 95xx phones? I read that it is automatically a preferred edition, but needs Essential edition license as well. UCM was covered briefly in the class I took, but that was more for familiarity. The main questions I have are:
1. Should I go ahead and purchase license for 2 additional VM ports? With 30 phones, I see the system getting congested with only 4. They use Auto Attendant now as well.
2. Knowing VMpro is quite the different animal from embedded, how much of a nightmare am I getting into moving to VMpro for the first time? I should have plenty of time to get the system here and program on the bench to get my feet wet.
3. Are there any bumps to look out for using UCM and the DS expansion modules?
Thanks in advance,
DT
