Got a customer with 2 IP500 systems using Advanced SCN

Has anyone got any ideas on the best way that a call could be parked and then retrieved by a user that is on the other system?

Thanks,

It's not possible to park/unpark calls over SCN or advanced SCN.

What you could do is if a call is on site 1 transfer it to site 2 on a free analog port, overthere they do a call pickup extension.

You can emulate park keys using Advanced SCN by creating huntgroups at both locations, lets say call these Park 401 and Park 501. These huntgroups are set up as extension 401 at site A and 501 at site B with no members and no voicemail but have queuing on.

At each site create these 'Park keys' huntgroups in button programming using the Group option and selecting the huntgroup name and extension.

To park calls tranfer the calls to that Park slot extension number. At the other site the "Park Slot" is now underlined and can be picked up.

The caller hears MOH because they are being queued on the huntgroup.

That is possible but does not work for the park buttons on phonemanager and softconsole
But i like your solution :)

You could do it with short codes

Site A
Shotcode= 501/Dial/501/line Group of site B/

Site B
Shortcode= 501/Park/501/0

This may work so the short coee on site A diales the park short code on Site B

Never done it but worth a shot if you want it.

It does work on pre 4 versions but the IPO has become intelligent since the ASCN introduction.

No it does not work anymore
Avaya blocked some things from 4.0
But parking has never been a SCN features but it could be possible that there was a trick for it
Most tricks are known by Avaya and are blocked

I don't see why they would block this though, if they offered the feature as a paid for licence that you are trying to avoid fair enough, but to limit something that makes the system more flexible just for the hell of it is just daft!

amriddle, it just does not work
Maybe it is a limitation

I tired it with shortcodes but the call was parked but nobody knows where it is parked :)
The call was gone and did not come back either

Try it, it is fun

Oh right, I got the impression from here that it used to work on 3.X but now they blocked it.....I may let them off if 5.0 gives what they say without bugs :)

Could be, i never tried it on 3.2
The 96xx series phones are blocked and used to work on some verions
Try to attache one and look in monitor
It is seen as a 96xx and does not work
