Hey guys I know this can be done
I am building a database with forms and in one of the forms I would like to set up a subform within the form itself. I would like to have the rows of the subform to be in two different colors (one dark one lighter)

can someone tell me what the easiest way is to do it thanks.

In a continuous form, Access has just one set of control properties for all the records displayed. This means that changes to any control's property will affect all records.

However, Dev Ashish has posted on his web site, The Access Web, one possible solution that may help you. You can find it here:

An approach -discussed in these forums- is to place a single control on the detail section. It is just a text box where you manipulate the backcolor for the condition (Record). All other controls have their BackStyle set to transparent.
